Fr. Jan Grotkowski, SDS, was born and raised in Mikolow, Poland. At age 19, he entered the Seminary for the Salvatorian Fathers of the Divine Saviour and was ordained a priest in 1989.
In 2007, his Superior sent him to Canada, where he served at St. Mary’s Basilica in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During his years in Nova Scotia he served as Pastor and Administrator of the Good Shepherd Pastoral Unit, the parishes of St. Paul and St. Anthony, and of St. Faustina’s Polish Mission.
Later on, Fr. Jan was appointed Pastor of St. Patrick’s Parish, Campbell River. Moving to Victoria, British Columbia, where he served at St. Patrick’s Parish and as Pastor of Sacred Heart Church.
