The Lord finds us today with our hands full of stones, ready to throw them against the sin that surrounds us. But we meet his gaze, full of tenderness and mercy, and He invites us to look at ourselves, so that we may start picking up those stones hidden in our hearts, product of the lack of mercy and tenderness in us.
Pope Francis tells us: “Once God’s law, the law of love, is forsaken, then the law of the strong over the weak takes over…” and the latter ends up covered by a mountain of rocks from which he cannot dig himself out. Let us ask the Lord during this Lenten season that we may be able to live the law of love towards ourselves and towards others through the good use of our talent, our time, and our money, so that we may become instruments of mercy and peace, especially towards the weak.
