One of the most disquieting questions in life is where do we find God, where does He live… This Sunday the Lord gives us one more clue of where we can find Him throughout the day: by being faithful to His Word. If we receive this Word as disciples, as “active listeners”, this Word of life pierces us through, reaching our heart and becoming visible in our Works. Then God dwells there; a God who is not an ideological system or a set of requirements, but a Person who wants to meet us face to face and to dwell in us so that He can shed His light and illuminate all darkness and confusion. When He dwells in us, we are called to make things new with a boldness inspired by the presence of His Spirit, which takes away all fear and helps us to overcome every obstacle so that we may share with others His action in our life.
Pope Francis tell us in Christus vivit: “He is in you, he is with you and he never abandons you. However far you may wander, he is always there, the Risen One. He calls you and he waits for you to return to him and start over again. When you feel you are growing old out of sorrow, resentment or fear, doubt or failure, he will always be there to restore your strength and your hope.” We are counting on your time, your talent and your money so that we may make His presence real to a world that is old and sorrowful and so much in need of Him.
