EACH YEAR THOUSANDS OF INDIVIDUALS knock on the doors of the Church as adults. If you have visited us at St. Hugh and want to learn more, join us in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, a process is similar to what the early Church followed when someone wanted to become a Christian and be baptized.
Whether you are unbaptized or if you were baptized as a child but have not received any other sacraments, or perhaps baptized as a member of another Christian denomination whose baptisms the Church recognizes, or even if you are an active Catholic and would like to refresh your knowledge of the faith, this is for you. The Rite of Initiation is suited to a spiritual journey of adults that varies according to the many forms of God’s grace, the free cooperation of the individuals, the action of the Church, and the circumstances of time and place.
The goal of the RCIA is to answer any questions you have and to give you the fullness of the faith so that you can join the Church at the Easter Vigil. But if at some point you don’t feel ready, take your time and continue your preparation. And never stop asking questions! We are here for you!
COME, LET US WALK TOGETHER!
